Inspired by the legendary warrior prints of Utagawa Kuniyoshi, this fountain pen captures the spirit of the spear-bearing samurai of feudal Japan — warriors whose mastery of the yari often decided the outcome of battle long before swords were ever drawn. Hand-painted upon naturally aged moose antler, the barrel features one of Kuniyoshi’s dramatic warrior compositions rendered in miniature, blending the elegance of Edo-period woodblock art with the permanence of scrimshaw tradition.

The cap is crafted from richly figured Bolivian rosewood and deeply engraved with a repeating pattern inspired by the silk lacing (odoshi) used to bind traditional samurai armor. Together, the warm antler, dark rosewood, and historic imagery create a pen that feels less like a writing instrument and more like a preserved artifact from another age.
