Chittim Burl L-15

Crafted from rare Chittum Burl, also known as American Smoketree Burl, this fountain pen showcases one of North America’s most elusive and sought-after woods. Unlike most burls that are harvested from trunks or branches, Chittum burls are often found buried at the root crown beneath rocky limestone hillsides of the American South, where they must be carefully unearthed from soil and stone. Many times dynamite is used to extract them, however, this results in a lot of damage to the burl and typically only small pieces are available. That’s perfect for me!
